Greaves Scholarship

The Greaves Scholarship, named in honor of Blake Greaves, commemorates his past tenure as the Aggie Vanguard president, during which he led our organization from its modest origins to a fully operational men’s organization. Blake exemplifies the core values of Aggie Vanguard in his daily life and all presidential decisions made, enriching not only the organization but also every member within it.

The Vanguard Scholarship is a prestigious award bestowed upon the most exceptional recruit of each semester, recognizing individuals who embody Vanguard’s core values of Humility, Dignity, Brotherhood, Integrity, and Leadership to the highest degree.​

Humility: The recipient exemplifies humility, recognizing their strengths while remaining modest and open to learning from others. They are not driven by ego but by a genuine desire to improve themselves and the world around them.​

Dignity: The recipient conducts themselves with dignity in all situations, treating others with respect and empathy. They uphold a strong moral compass and are unwavering in their commitment to ethical behavior.​

Brotherhood: The recipient fosters a sense of brotherhood, building strong relationships based on mutual respect, support, and camaraderie. They are inclusive and create a welcoming environment for all.​

Integrity: Integrity is the cornerstone of the Vanguard Scholar’s character. They are honest, principled, and accountable for their actions, inspiring trust and confidence in others.​

Leadership: The Vanguard Scholar is a leader in every sense, whether leading by example, inspiring others to action, or taking charge in challenging situations. They embody the qualities of a servant leader, putting the needs of others before their own.

The Greaves Scholarship is more than just a financial award; it is a recognition of the recipient’s embodiment of these values and their commitment to upholding them in all aspects of their life.

When i joined this organization I knew that I had made friends for life and that my experience with Aggie Vanguard would improve my college experience immeasurbly.
